I connected 3 hikvision 4mp bullet cameras on my local lan via some tplink poe switches not to the actual nvr ports and they were quickly identified by the included sap software and the nvr

The web configuration link is easier to use in most cases than the actual nvr configuration tool except for the motion detection programning

Took some trial and error to get the iphone application working with the hikvision port forwarding site hikonline

I had to forward the necessary incoming ports including 80 and 543 to the nvr default port 61 on my router to get the iphone application to work consistently
