I am pleased with the quality and will be using the bag again this year
Quality built that seems to take everything you throw at it
Its also pretty small considering the quality
I spent two nights under a tarp with a 3 season mw prolite 950 bag and this bivvy with the temp at 2c
Packaging/appearance
A comfortable warm night in a sleeping bag inserted inide the bivvy bag
Competitiveness
Compared with ancient snugpak bag hawk has more width in body and a squarer cut at the foot giving more space there as well
This is a lightweight bivvy easy to carry and unroll
Only issue potential i can see is the waterproof zips leave about a 1cm square gap where all the zips meet up when fully zipped up
I left the top open so im not sure how roomy it would be zipped up in a downpour but then its a bivvy not the crown plaza hotel

Zippered hood to seal off from outside world this can be detached and replaced by zippered mesh screen keeping midges at bay whilst seeing outside my old bag has toggle cord for tightening so no head protection from the midges

The fact that i get some room to move even with my sleeping bag in there impresses me and makes a change from my having to send items back because i cant fit into them at all ie it took me ages to find a sleeping bag that would accommodate me with room to move

Yes there is a slight hole where the zips meet but i guess its not hard to find something to plug this up if the bugs are bothering you

I personally like a lot of fresh air when im sleeping so am likely to leave it slightly open anyway unless conditions are such that i cant

Recently purchased one and on delivery noticed weight is 920g not 600g

Practiced outdoors beforehand and it worked well not water ingress
