The id card slot is somewhat unnecessary because even if i was going to carry it around as an everyday item i would not put my work id in it and i cant imagine anyone else would either usually work ids must be worn on the body

The only negative is the pen holder which is bizarrely placed near the outer edge of the inside back cover making it pretty much useless because any pen placed in it either prevents the portfolio from closing or hangs awkwardly outside

It comes with a notepad which i was really surprised and it doesnt come with a pen but it does have a tab to insert one
