These seem to work just fine, price is a little steep for what it is.
The durability of these will determine my true thought on the price though.

I, too, would find them too tight if i just strung them straight out of the package like the photo shows.
Competitiveness
I love these- this is the third or fourth time i have ordered hickies.
More expensive than laces, but we'll worth the price for its convenience.
They are worth every penny i paid for them and they weren't expensive.

I can set up my shoes the way i want, to be looser in the toe box and tighter around the instep.
