It keeps out most of the noise during the night when i am sleeping, even loud snoring. My boyfriend snores like crazy! Although that means ambulances no longer wake me up, my room-mate's deep voice/laugh sometimes penetrates.
These are a good balance between noise cancellation and comfort. These are great for making loud sounds much quieter. I use them for taking tests to help me focus and while the house is noisy and i wish to block out distractions.
Cons
These plugs are very flimsy and do not do much to block unwanted sound. It's like trying to sleep with your head on a gumdrop that rubs and squeaks. The ends are rounded instead of flat, and they seem damaged after one roll.

Tried many many different brands until i came across the hearos

Blocks a decent amount of sound comparable to any of of hearos commercial offerings
I was obviously pleased to no longer have to periodically deal with that type of annoying stuff once i had purchased these hearos earplugs

I can usually fall asleep easily but if i wake up in the middle of the night i sometimes cant sleep especially if there is a lot of noise in the room

After about two weeks use it would lose elasticity and start to hurt my ear canals
