I think this new one is just as good although i did drop my new phone on concrete where it flipped a few times so a pretty hard landing and there are now a couple thin but long cracks in the screen

It is thick enough in back to protect the camera bump and has a raised rubber rim in front to protect the screen if laid face down

The only down side is as others have mentioned is the watch has to be removed for charging
