Old part was scored and damaged by sand and was jammed by sand on impeller so that it could not seat and seal like it was supposed to do

The diffuser is now on and just the 2 orings and the 6 bolts and an electrical hook up remains

The pvc gasketseal is placed between the 2 halves of the impeller after sliding the 1st half off youll find this white pvc gasket which is intended to absorb any friction created between both impeller halves as the pump runs

The noise was actually made by the old pvc gasket having snapped in half
