    It is a cult product that was made by samsung years ago for dell under the harman kardon brand (maybe a harman kardon design).

    I have dropped these speakers five dozen times over the past 10 years carrying them back and forth from my outdoor deck to the computer, sometimes hooking them up to an ipod, sometimes the computer.

    True, the right speaker (particularly) cuts in and out now if you touch the audio cables or adjust the volume control knob the wrong way.

    These speakers came with my dell pc and have lasted about 8 years or so, long after i got rid of the computer.
