Pros & Cons

Pros

Comes nicely packaged and shipped fast. Works great. Nicely balanced, easy to use.

Vario pourover brewer works well. Glass is preferable to ceramic, which could have lead, or plastic. Other reviews remark how brewing with the v60 can be tricky, but this has not been my experience.

The v60 is my crowned champion and beloved coffee maker. Makes good tasting coffee.

The v60 offers more latitude for experimentation over the chemex. Bought size 3, combined it with chemex filter and peets whole bean major dickason’s blend. The coffee is smooth and tasty.

Cons

This dripper is open at the bottom, just a big round hole. There is a hold in the bottom of the glass cone which does not support the filter when filled with coffee.

The more water you add to the cone the more pressure and the faster the drip results in weaker coffee

Well after using the hario for a week i’m disappointed with the flavor of my coffee

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I’m attributing that to the speed by which the water flows through the larger hole in the cone

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

For that reason i’m returning to using the rsvp and in comparison cannot recommend the hario v60

Recommend bigger one lol i got small size and feeling small lol

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The size 03 dripper is only available in glass and black hard rubber

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

To do this you need to use a stainless steel brewer by able kone or osaka

However the able kone brewer will not seat completely
