My only complaint is the possible lead exposure clearly stated on the bag. To no fault of the company or product. They give back to the people of lima so all in all i'm fine with my purchase.

It mixes well in smoothies & that's all i've done with it. The powder can be mixed in with yogurt. A teaspoon mixed in a drink or dusted on a dessert allows us to add nutrition to his diet.

Adding this to my diet is a no-brainer. Maca is part of the cruciferous vegetable family.

The powder tastes better than most, its organic and the company has a nice nonprofit tie-in. I think this powder works better than the capsules, although capsules are easier to deal with.

Cons

Gelatinized does not mean contains gelatin, rather it means the product is cooked a certain way. Have had a stomach ache since then and an actually palpable dip in energy levels.

I can only give it 4 stars due to lack of education on the packaging for usage and for no details on why there may be lead present

The packaging is secure and easily reseals although i always transfer my maca into a glass container with an air tight lid
