Pros

"she plays cashier when we're putting groceries away and she loves that it's just like at a real store. Drawer comes in and out smoothly.

The abacus has a bead system for counting. The * are pushable.

The wood construction makes it worth it to me. It seems quite durable and is pleasing to look at, with bright but mellow colors. It's a good size; fits nicely on top of the counter of the maxim farmer's market.

The register is cute and has everything a plastic register would minus working display and beeping. My four and seven year old play with this daily and make all their own sound effects. The one we have really nurtures their little creative minds!

Cons

Cash register is * and glued together, so it is impossible to get the money back out. The drawer is unable to be removed completely so it's a big hassle for little ones.
