Pros

Lead on the ir usb receiver is little too short.

Works brilliantly with openelec on rasberry pi. Works well with acer revo l80 - microsoft win 8. Easy to install and nothing complicated about it. Works out of the box with my raspberry pi running openelec.

Built in mouse pad comes in really handy. Fully compatible with xbmc running on windows xp mce 2005.

Quality

For the price and quality, im very happy with my purchase.

But the remote has a nice quality weight and feel and should last if not abused.

It works just perfectly, from navigation around the menus to controlling the mouse with the track pad if you need it.

Can't fault it, even the range is pretty sweet, and the signal works without line of sight.

Packaging/appearance

It worked straight out of the box.

Plugged it in, and bam, working right out of the box.

Competitiveness

I use it with on a zotac with openelec and kodi 14.

There are more expensive products that i have found to be less reliable than this.

Had this item for over 5 months now, works well with media portal on my desktop running win10

If you also install the keymap editor add-on you can patch the shortcut keys originally intended to be used with windows media centre to the various video, picture and settings menus inside xbmc / kodi.

Only gripes i have is the fairly short lead on the ir receiver which makes the placement of the receiver a bit tricky; and the 'i' (info) button which seems to be hardwired to behave exactly like the right mouse button, hence making it impossible to remap it to e.

No fiddling with text files or anything.

Not all the buttons cause an action but that is no doubt a fault of the media center software.
