Pros & Cons
Pros
Very sharp and durable. Esp note dual tooth size. Mine shown in the pictures is sturdy black rubbery plastic.
The only slight negative is that the cuts are much rougher than i was anticipating, but well worth the money. Easy smooth cuts on 3/4 in pine lumber for bee hives.
I still wish the crosscut teeth were smaller, as 80% of the time i rely on the finer rip cut teeth. Like most japanese tools, this saw works flawlessly. Very good fine saw for the price.
I use it often on 2x3's and larger panels of plywood- and it has a great mix of speed, power, and accuracy. It is a compact saw that is easy to handle once you get used to cutting on pull strokes. Side is for cross cut and one side is for ripping.
Cons
This particular saw's teeth are symmetric in their kerf such that pulling (with or without gentle pressue) will horribly mar the surface on which you're working. After 3 uses the blade fell out. The handle loosens up and the blade comes out very easil... Read More

Price
I believe it is a great value
Very good fine saw for the price
At the price and for what you get i cannot complain
For what it is it is a very good value
Shipping
It took a very long time to get and would have received a 5 star from me should it had got to me a month or two earlier
I already got it before due date
Packaging/appearance
Just buy it but dont throw away the packaging its better than nothing for keeping it from attacking stray hands and fingers
I keep the saw in the original plastic packaging sleeve this is good enough for occasional use
Competitiveness
It is easier than others ive used and the size is great
I have seen similar saws produced in china and the steel used is far inferior
I have some other pull saws and they dont even remotely compare
At the price it is easily the best trim saw ive ever use
