On mine the metal part that goes through the cap when i pushed that metal all the way to the side the bottom of that piece of metal is bent into a 90 degree angle

When pushed all the way to the one side the little bend part of it pops out of place and when that happens the lid will not close

It only takes a couple of seconds to push it back in and if you do not push it all the way to one side this will not happen but it should be snug enough or pushed together enough that this does not happen

It would be simple to bend this a little more so that this does not happen so it is not a bug deal

I actually found this out by accident as i was checking all of its features i pushed it all the way to the side then went to close it
