However they leaked so much that they were essentially useless for the intended purpose so with nothing to lose i then bought the goverre and no amazon i didnt return any

Because the generously sized double silicon baffles to prevent leaking under the rim of the lid are longer more pliant and doubled than are the seals of the others i cannot imagine how the complaining purchasers could be defective its possible of course but i also noticed this possible explanation if you are attempting to lock the xshaped ridges on the seal on top of the while the silicon baffles are wet the entire lid will rotate in place very smoothly and because both it and glass beneath are beautifully monochrome you will not notice it rotating unless you look carefully
