Initially the batteries were dead on arrival and would not take a charge

Note to users the switch is magnetic so i use a hair rubber band to keep the switch off until use as it was bumped on several times

You can then either hold the spring loaded switch on with your thumb or peel the band off to keep it on

As for the issue of short battery life it is actually not that big of a problem
