This product works great ive already used it a couple of times on hikes strapped to my backpack
Its a quality tool for the backcountry tool box
It waseasy to set up as soon as i help the solar panel in the sun with the stick like plugged into it the light came on
It can be slow to charge when there is cloud cover or when you dont line it up with the sun properly

I first saw goal zero with my dad at a sportsmans show in oregon and they werent even the big company they are today

Even under a sun umbrella as i was prepping setup it was charging obviously with less gusto but i didnt think it would register a charge at all under the umbrella

Investing in the goal zero flip 10 or flip 20 would be worth while to go with this product since the battery in your cell phone may not always run out while the sun is out

I charged the battery pack about 3 hours in the sun and the led light came on while plugged into the batteries
