    I still give it 5 stars for functionality because it doesn't constrict the flow of water to sprinkler attachments making it spray the maximum diameter in my yard.

    The reason for this is the thread on the timer is plastic and if the metal hose is not attached correctly, it can damage the thread on the timer.

    I simply turn the know to 40 or 60 minutes as i needed and never tried to adjust it or turn it once it was set at a number.

    I have always been wondering, why the timer valves are not made super solid.

    If the valve fails (get stuck and does not close automatically - the usual type of failure) the losses are disproportionate to the price of the valve.
