This was due to not able to get a block number service from my current bill provider due to the landline being owed by outreach

Only drawback we have to disconnect the call manually by pressing the button the phone otherwise no incoming call possible when some one tries to call you the otherpart will get an info o you are busy

This was in situations where you are calling say your bank and you are asked to say or key in the 4 digit number or press 1 for this 2 for that etc i always prefer to key the numbers in but found that it just didnt work

Eventually i contacted amazons helpline and was told i must go to settings telephony dialling mode and change from pulse to tone
