Pros

The blade is wicked sharp, holds an edge and sharpens back to quality easily. The serrations are great for rope cutting or small limbs.

The scabbard is also well thought out and built well.

Cons

The sheath seems to be rubbing the coating off of the blade. The alloy used for this knife is just garbage.

Shows poor quality and zero durability. At least it comes with its own * whistle you can blow after being price/quality molested by gerber/bg.

All i ever use it for is very light work - opening cardboard boxes, cutting the plastic on blu-ray cases to open those. The knife is still ok, but the case is unusable. If you're looking for something sturdy then look elsewhere.

Serrated knives in general are terrible. The blade comes down an inch from the hammering surface which is, full tang with floating pommel. Blade dulled quickly,pommel detached after a few hits.

As stated elsewhere there are probably better choices for true survival blades

Admittedly i was hesitant to buy a celebritybranded knife

Bear grylls ultimate survival is ok survival knife but not as good as les stroud sk mountain survival knife
