This definetly looks like a manufacturing issue to me you can see how its coming apart where they have sealed it

I bought this unit back in december 2018 and the nonstick coating and even the coating beneath is pretty much gone from the center of the main base plate after 16 months

It works wonders like any other george foreman but im disappointed in the longevity of the device

It feels kinda loose and not very solid and the plates can be slightly difficult to get back on

Some day i suspect the flimsy piece of aluminum that holds it together will fail though it felt loose from day 1 and it hasnt happened
