I wouldnt recommend using in a light fixture where the light bulb itself is exposed aka you might look at it directly

But the bulb definitely does not have the yellowamber glow shown in the official photos on the listing

The photo posted in cheesmakers review is much closer to how the bulb really appears when illuminated

In the end i may end up putting this bulb in a lamp with a narrower shade that will filter the light color more which unfortunately will mean that the cool looking design of the bulb will not be readily visible
