When i first turned it on it seemed like the remote control had a few errors in syncing up to the light but after a minute or two and turning it off and back on the issue resolved itself

Strobe mode should be labeled smooth or fadethe transition of the color starts off with darkest version of a color gradually increases in intensity peaks to full illumination then reverses bringing the light to minimal illumination before moving to the next color and repeating the cycle
