Pros & Cons
Pros
Fantastic concept. An inexpensive piece of mind. But i hope it stays where it should. Goes on where advertised.
All they have to do is poke a hanger or hook in the top to release the garage door disconnect latch. Easy to install.
Cons
The bracket that holds the shield is paper thin. The “brace” holding this to the j-arms is low-grade soft plastic that cracked and split apart as soon as i put minimal pressure on it by tightening the thumb screw, exactly as instructed.
I'm an architect, so poor design bothers me. It is not metal, and it is very flimsy. Even the screws are plastic. I feel like this should be more robust (like metal) and i'd pay more for it.
From start to finish this product was a disappointment.
Highlights
Quality
I installed it anyway and was quite pleased with the fit and it seems strong enough to actually work
This works only with the t type track without modifications

Price
If it was made out of metal i could understand the price
Competitiveness
You can’t beat the security your getting for the price of the unit
Not all garage doors are the same so it takes some mental gymnastics of how it is to work
