Pros

All the parts were included. All you need to do is watch the drum when you are winding it up. I agree that the next generation should consider something to feed the cable on each spool evenly.

Strong and durable. It looks and feels well made. It is well built and of sturdy materials.

Cons

Garage gator’s customer service is non existent. Cant contact seller. After owning this for awhile and usingit only occasionally the product has failed.

There is nothing in the design to ensure the cable wraps properly on the spool. It has no wire management system, which means when you retract the wire tends to bunch up on one side.

The unit it quite noisy (since it attaches to your rafters, the vibration carries through the entire house. It requires lots of wall space.

Packaging/appearance

This is perfect for getting the bikeswheelsgolf clubs off the floor and up out of the way

Great for getting bikes and extras out of the way

I got into the ceiling and drilled a small hole in the drywall on either side of the joist

Competitiveness

This is a perfact solution as the extra high ceilings allows me to lift large bulky items up with ease freeing up the floor for my car

I truly dont know how they provide such a wellmade product for this price

Tip dont use a studfinder to find the stud center
