I added a skimmer to our intek pool with intek sand filter and the fittings did not connect so i pieced together some pvc but could not get a good seal while using the flex tubing that came with the pool

I used a bunch of the teflon tape on the connection to the skimmer as the instructions directed and screwed it on until the adaptor was snug

The small end is 1 12 male pipe thread while the big end is 40mm pool thread
