G7 had been by led company of choice until recently when i had some other types from them stop working and i have not been able to get them replaced under the 10year warranty

Holding my hand on the fixture all of the other lights are slightly warm to the touch but these are much cooler about body temperature so they do not run as hot as the other leds

With 10 of these in my kitchen if i used halogens it would be like setting up a 300 watt heater to compete with the ac in the summer

Thats 600 watts of cancelling waste when both are on and negating the thermal effect of each other

The heat from halogens probably eventually degrades the materials in the fixtures too plastic parts plastic wire insulation the textile wrap covering the wires which cant be good from a safety standpoint either
