The listing for mine says it comes with high quality latemodel abec9 bearings so i suspect the manufacturer now uses these not the cheaper ones which generated the falling apart complaints from earlier reviewers

When it came time to change the wheel bearings and get new rear axels with spacers i called this company and got a morethanreasonable price better than i could find anywhere for the exact ones that these scooters need and they didnt even charge to ship

Additionally be careful to not lose the piece at the bottom or else it will be very rattley and is annoying
