Most of the time, the water didn't go into the pipe, i think if you catch it at the right angle, some water may trickle in

That is a problem if it is salty seawater because the pipe is right above your forehead and subsequently trickles down to your eyes

I am not sure the pipe is as large as a snorkel so for those who need more air, this might be a problem
