    What i noticed when using it, is i no longer reply on the meat of my palm (lower thumb area) on the back of the camera to secure it.

    But the lensmate model fits the accessory shoe of the camera more securely and doesn't get loose with use.

    The location of the af-l is not ideal on the xp cameras but the reach from the lensmate thumb rest to that button is fairly easy.
