Actually, the instructions specifically say these bottles and caps are not microwave safe, so don't do what i did.

I am only guessing but it seems from other reviews that they must have improved their quality since the ones i received have none of the flaws mentioned.

These are not real haevy duty but for pies and normal home baking they should do the job fine and no problems with the dishwasher either which also makes me thing they have improved the product.
