As a professional machinist i was surprised at the quality of this caliper.
I measure certain diameter objects from time to time but i used it very little but i recommend this product.
It's the quality you'd expect from fowler.
This caliper appears to be of equal or better quality so i expect many years of service from it.
Price
The fowler is a great product for the price.
Made in usa, and today's price is half of what the same size mit cost ten years ago!

As some of the reviews stated they don't slide as smooth as the high dollars calipers but what do you expect for 55 dollars.

So, the metric tool tip chart is not very helpful without those conversions.

On mine, the needle lines up at the 12 o'clock position when fully closed to zero.

The case supplied is a actually a more flexible, look-through plastic with plastic lining.

The lining is the type of plastic that after a few years cracks and falls apart.

You also need two hands to open the case, an inconvenience that i don't like.
