You will have to use manual focus which you should already know if youre planning on buying this adapter

The adapter can be a little finicky but no more than getting fd lenses off of a native canon body

If it isnt and these two are colliding then you do not have both locking rings in the fully open position

This will cause the inner pin on the adapter to slide the tab in your lens part way over actuating it much like what happens when the lens is natively locked on to a camera body
