Overall i recommend you go with the foscam
The picture quality appeared the same on both models
It never worked consistently and always seemed to be 1520 seconds delayed along with the video feed

The twoway radio feature on the dropcam was horrible
When comparing the foscam to the dropcam side by side i pick the foscam
The dropcam was constantly very hot even when not in operation

Called foscam technical support and received assistance from victor jones
Used dyndns since its listed in the foscam software
I now have installed and used about 30 of the foscam brand cameras for friends and family
