I can live with the cup design however little i like it
This set has a high quality feel very solid and durable
The lines are perfectly sleek and square and with the edges lifted up it just looks elegant
Price
The price is a bit high but may be warranted if the damage resistance is as good as touted since you may get longer life from a set
My guess the higher price is largely due to this being a chip resistant vitrified china that has been reinforced for strength
Packaging/appearance
Ill get a lot of use out of the smaller side plate for sandwiches and small meals

The salad plate is actually a perfect dinner sized plate to me and since this was just a one piece serving set i do like to plate my daughters meal on it and it does look like a plate you might see in a nicer restaurant

It is not what you think of as china in that its not at all delicate or in need of special care

Ive never really understood the concept of saucers so it doesnt bother me but if you are a formal cup and saucer kind of person you will think this is strange
