Bits can eventually jam up against the silicone seal and get moldy otherwise

The myth doesnt translate to the real world where people are now showing bph toxicity

I dont add ice but just add cold water to the brewed tea so the glass isnt exposed to the extreme temperature change and the possibility of cracking
