Negative Review

It’s a shame that they didn’t stick with the spring schedule, what might’ve been.

Neutral Review

If they had stuck with the original plan, they probably would've been around today if not for trump.

Competitiveness

Attempting to move to fall to compete against the nfl teams there would have been suicidal.

Negative Review

Not just with some of the league’s key figures, but with cheerleaders and even the gunslingers trainer.

Too bad the usfl decided to move to a fall schedule and take the nfl head on.

The book is not political at all but the “understory” of the parallels between the young bombastic donald trump who owned the ny generals and the one in the white house today were most fascinating.

I understand some naysayers say he wrote this book to attack trump but he obviously didn't .

Informative, often hilarious, ironic political reality foretelling book.

The author also mention how trump brought the league to bankrupt.

Jeff pearlman's tremendous book provides insight into what was happening behind the scenes with the various usfl teams, and shows how foolish it was for donald trump to ever try to go head to head against the nfl in 1986.

For any football fan who remembers the usfl, or for any football fan who is curious about what the usfl was like, i strongly urge you to pick up a copy of this book.

In addition to a constellation of stars such as walker, steve young, jim kelly, and reggie white, there are some usfl cameos you wouldn’t expect: villanova coach jay wright working ticket sales for the philadelphia stars, christopher “mad dog” russo doing postgame coverage for the orlando renegades, david remnick as the washington post reporter forced to suffer through covering the washington federals.
