That’s why the pros use it – you can get that ‘sculpted’ look from spread on buttercream but it’s very difficult

Out of the 5gallon bucket in a professional bakery fondant has to be kneaded to be workable

Fondant is technically edible but tastes like flavorless sugary goo with a bad mouthfeel and if it’s flavored it’s even worse leaving a nasty chemical taste in your mouth after the unpleasantness is swallowed
