When connect to my ipad, this allows me to do just that. In garage band on ipad and cakewalk on pc it works flawlessly.
Cons
Windows users beware, wasted money on this item only to never get it to work. The inferior quality of this piece is making it quite difficult to actually get any recording done without resorting to gaffer taping the mic to my stand.
