    Well, it appears to leak out of the washer area and did not shut off.

    It is mounted at an angle towards the back of the cistern because the water inlet hole is on the same side as the flush handle and the flushing unit does not allow it to stand vertical.

    A fibre washer is not supplied and is required when fitting to a standard shouldered tap stub.

    All i needed to do to install this valve was put one rubber washer on to one side of the valve and then insert it into the cistern pushing the thread through the wall of the cistern.

    Another washer over the thread on the outside wall and then a back nut to tighten the valve firmly into the cistern.
