Its not waterproof and the belt will get damp but it doesnt ruin my phone because it has casing on

The belt should have individual compartments to keep items in place very often you place something in one area and before long it travels around the inside of the belt to a different area very frustrating to have to stop to find things

The belt is also not waterproof any paper items including money placed inside the belt will be soaked in sweat when you pull it out
