Pros

The replicator creator pro is a dual-extruder 3d printer. It uses flashprint software and simplify3d as a slicer. It prints pla, petg, carbon fiber, and wood grain filament.

The accuracy and precision really blows my mind. The bibo is acceptable, some stepper movements are noisier than usual. The quality and flashforge support is unmatched with a 1-year warranty.

Great printer, aesthetically pleasing, fairly easy to use with no experience. Printer seems to be what it proclaims.

It automates most steps, but to navigate all options it does help to be willing to get a bit technical. Ease of use is very good for someone who has had a 3d printer before, not so great for absolute beginners.

Octoprint comes with a cardboard card that's used to level the print bed. There are three knobs below the bed, and the card has a diagram to tell you which way to turn the knobs to raise or lower. The included leveling card is also handy, though i sti...  Read More

Cons

Blobs all over the place, stringing, and just an overall waste of time and effort. The supplied software makes it difficult, nearly impossible to connect the printer to any computer using usb or wi-fi.

The top of print jobs looks like it came from an ice cream dispenser. Printing must be done very slowly to prevent the belts from slipping. Print shifting, clogging in the head.

Time estimated for return, money reimbursement, and new order is over 10 days. Amazon isn't even listed as an authorized re-seller! However, it seems to me this is more a production packaging issue (i saw a couple of unboxing videos where the acrylic ...  Read More

The spool holder design fails here, in that the spools are too far from the enclosure where the tubes pull the filament. No matter how tight the belts are, they slip terribly, because the pulleys are all plastic. The left nozzle will pass by the plast...  Read More

The extruders are, thankfully, both at the same height, but they don't seem to be calibrated correctly. The tiny wing nuts are very cheap and cut your fingers trying to adjust the build plate.

Quality

After that everything works fine and i'm satisfied with the quality and overall.

I was very satisfied with the low noise levels.

Some of my issues may well have been with simplify 3d presets, not with the printer.

I've only done single-extruder printing for now, but the quality is just at another level.

Prints using include slicer program were not that great, but i purchased simplify3d and the print quality was immediately improved.

Price

I wanted another one that had a larger build volume but was 5 x the price.

Shipping

It appeared to heave been bent up at a 45 degree angle in shipping.

It seems that the cable was damaged somehow in shipping.

Packaging/appearance

Still, flashforge was willing to replace the part and even though i didn't need it, that willingness proved to me that i made t...  Read More

Competitiveness

This level of support has been tremendously useful for me, and is a major reason i highly recommend qidi printers.

Definitely recommend flashforge and this printer for professionals and hobbyists.

The printer does lack wifi connectivity and a 32bit control board.

At home, i've been using an older robo 3d r1 plus, a monoprice maker select v2 (wanhao duplicator i3), and a duplicator 7 (sla).

I had problems and support team emailed me back right away.

The way the cardboard handle was completely ripped on one side indicated this wasn’t its first trip (or it was just poorly handled.

Windows), i just couldn’t get it to print via usb from my computer.

Reading online, people have said to just use the sd card, but i didn’t really want to deal with the hassle of getting my card reader all the time (which reminds me, the included reader is absolute junk, constantly unmounting and remounting), so i ended up getting an octopi configuration going.

Configuring octoprint has its own hurdles, but there’s a helpful guide you can find online that tells you how to configure it.

Tech support: i’m glad to say i have had no reason to reach out to support.

Noise: the noise levels were surprisingly quiet, and i was able to sleep through a print in a room across the hallway, doors open, without a problem (and don’t worry, someone else was watching the print at the time).
