I agree with the comments from others here that the quality of the paper has gone down, having been using these five star pads for years.
Great quality paper, can easily use both sides with no problem.
I noticed the last time i bought the ones with the old paper i have to pay over $8 a pad at walmart.
Price
Complaint, not about the product itself: the price is about 10%-20% too high.
I think they changed the paper to get the price down.

The only colors i received were green and black.

Based on the picture, i was expecting one of each color shown, not a random assortment.

The ink bleed now is so bad that i had to search for different pens to reduce the problem.

Then walmart stopped carrying the graph ruled pads altogether and i had to buy them at office depot were they were also over $8 a pad, and then od stopped carrying them.

When i found them on walmart at roughly $5 a pad i was thrilled and bought 12, only then to find out about the change in the paper.

However all in all i have to say that if you want graph ruled paper in a notepad these are still the best out there, unless you want to go to engineering grade graph paper which is 2 to 3 times the price.
