My kids get a lot of the twenty cent cheapie notebooks that the office and department stores tout going into the school year but those notebooks have thin paper covers and wire spiral binding that starts to unravel early on

It even has one high quality cardboard pocket inside the front cover for loose papers and the top edge of that pocket is reinforced with plastic

I got a nice light blue one but others have gotten hot pink and you cant choose the color
