Fitbit is aware there is an issue since there are so many complaints about this scale not working even for some afer a week or two.

Not sure if this is a design flaw or i have a bad one, but its happened so many times now that once i stepped on the scale, the batteries fell out and the cover fell off just right where it broke off a little piece and now i have to use tape to hold the cover and batteries on and because of the odd shape of the bottom of the scale that is even a pain in the butt to do.
