Cons

Hat stretcher jumps out of the center part on both ends and strips the treads when you try to back out. Even if it had fit the cap, there's zero chance that it would've been able to stretch it.

The connector * and literally crumbles under pressure. The turnbuckle is not long enough! When extended all the way open and trying to retract, the screws come out of the wood. Fix this thing by making the bolts 1/2” - 1” longer.
