Due to the jl needs a spot for the rear camera i had to cut out a hole to support it.

There's a couple of differences between the wiring in the instruction and the wiring on the unit itself.

Yes, the two prongs inside the connector do need a little prying (with the same very small flat head screwdriver) to line up with the connector on the vehicle.
