Pros

Filtrete keeps the air noticeably cleaner and the household surfaces less dusty. We also have two persian cats who, on occasion, add some distinctive odors to the mix. It is really infinitely entertaining, but it is also infinitely long.

The filtrete product line is a merv 11 rating and typically commands a premium in price. The odor-absorption does seem to work, so it comes recommended to prospective buyers.

Cons

It is unbelieveable to me that 3m would release such a product. The charcoal is spayed onto the filter and already coming off in the package. Upsetting and disappointing.

For the price you cant beat it anywhere

I think the filters worked well especially for the price

Dont waste time buying filters at home depot or lowes because they only have junky no name for 0

They also have honeywell with their own pfr rating that were so overpriced 19

Competitiveness

While i havent found a furnace filter that removes it completely this is the best ive found

Ive read that the 1200 mpr is comparible to 8 merv but im not sure because the ratings refer to different sized particles

97 for a comparable filter to the filtrete odor defense
