The tube surface in knurled for improved gripping and the base of the flashlight is crowned but provides a flat surface so it can stand up in candle stick mode

The unit comes with a lanyard and if you install it then it slightly interferes with the candle stick mode so the choice is yours

The flashlight has a side mount control button and it does not have a tail switch pushbutton

When you press and hold the button for about 12 second and it will come on in the last mode it was used in

The internal electronics regulates the brightness and it memorizes the last used brightness setting

If you press the button for 1 second it will go to burst mode and operate at 260 lumens
