Pros

Double wall design retains more heat than a traditional single wall chemex. I sometimes let the coffee cool in the carafe after brewing and this keeps it at a drinkable temperature longer than the hario carafe ever did.

Double walled cup that can be used as a small pour over carafe for single servings. Works with both the xf and x drippers seamlessly. Overall, this carafe is great. I've had several glassware for making coffee & they all eventually break.

Overall, another fantastic product from fellow. Only negatives are that, it's a bit pricey. Easy to replace with this seller.

One odd quirk is that it feels too small for 3 people, but too big for 2 people. But it's just glass, so your usual solutions to that problem should suffice. Will practice more with it.

The removable plastic lid with an opening that can be moved to either close or open the pouring spout looks like it will also be very helpful to prevent dangerous splatter. I use this as cha hai (fairness pitcher) for gongfu style tea brewing, and it ...  Read More

Cons

The pour spout is a bad design, coffee collects at the spout after pouring and drips onto whatever surface the carafe is sitting on. The diameter is so large that it is hard to hold in the first place.

I am really happy with the product

It’s easy to use in conjunction with the hario v60 pourover coffee filter holder and has a very simple modern design

Especially for something handmade i feel like everything fits together well and many types of pourover coffee contraptions fit well on top

Now on top of this being more expensive than a chemex or at least a standard chemex i must also disclose that the filters for t...  Read More

Thats a reasonable restriction but it means you cant make iced coffee by brewing pourover directly onto ice cubes

Also if you are looking for something to use in the microwave this isnt it

When i make a hot drink in the keurig i have to carefully drink the container roughly halfway down with a glass straw before i can safely risk taking the drink out of the machine

But that would defeat the entire goal in rehydrating instant dry soups

To make this fit in the keurig i have to remove the removable platform not unusual for tall ice tea tumblers and juggle things some to make it semistable on the nonremovable base that the removable platform sits on

At this point it still touches the area around where water is dispensed by the keurig making it a tight fit

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It gets really slippery when it is wet

I put rubber band around the neck but i still managed to drop it
